Miami Dolphins punter and former Spartan Brandon Fields continues to get better and better. In his seventh NFL season, Fields currently leads the league in punting average (51.6 yards) after placing no worse than 6th overall in the last three seasons.
For his career, Fields holds the Dolphins team record for gross punting average (45.7 yards) and a single season (48.8 yards in 2011). According to the Dolphins media guide, Fields' net average of 41.1 yards per punt in 2011 is also single season record for Miami.
His career gross punting average of 45.7 yards per punt is also the highest among all active punters in the NFL.
