Spring Practice Update: Week 3

The snow has melted, the sun is out, and the pads are back on. Spring football is here! Michigan State will have to replace a lot of talent this season, and in the first week of practice we were able to talk to the offensive line and defensive backs. Coach Dantonio had plenty of praise for some new faces, so be sure to watch his video below to see what else he had to say about the first Spring practice with pads on.

With Jack Allen, Donavon Clark, and Jack Conklin all leaving, there are plenty of positions to fill on the offensive line. The biggest position that needs to be addressed is left tackle, where Dennis Finley hopes to fit in. Against Purdue last season, Finley, broke his leg when he filled in for Conklin. Fortunately, Finley has had a steady recovery and is confident that he can get the job done moving forward.

Sticking with players who are recovering from horrific injuries, Vayante Copeland started the 2015 season at cornerback for the Spartans until a vertebra injury against Oregon in the second week forced him to miss the rest of the season. [..]
