LJ Scott carried all of Michigan State's dreams and hopes in his arms as he ran toward the goal line with less than 30 seconds to play in the Big Ten Championship against Iowa. Ahead of him, senior fullback Trevon Pendleton brought down an Iowa defender to their knees with a perfect block placement. That left three defenders for Scott to go through to score the game-winning touchdown. Iowa players wrapped around Scott clinging to him, hoping to bring him down along with Spartan fan's dreams in one tackle. Scott spun, pulling away from two defenders. In his head, he knew what he was about to do could get
him into trouble. Scott reached the ball out, desperately trying to extend the nose of the ball across the goal line. Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio scolds players for putting the ball into such a vulnerable position to be knocked from their hands, fumbled away. Michigan State has been here before. The Spartans have reached Indy once again, and will face the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday. This will be the third trip for the Spartans in the last five years, having faced Wisconsin and Ohio State before. That experience is valuable to the team coupled with a Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl wins. The Spartans won't be afraid or intimidated in the spot light. "Big Ten East Division Champs 2015"

Dantonio made history tonight by becoming the first coach in Big Ten history to win 11 games five times in a span of six seasons. That achievement alone should be rewarded with a hat, but Dantonio will gladly take his new hat and trophy and head to the Big Ten Championship. The journey to get here hasn't be easy, but that's what makes it sweet. Injuries struck at an alarming number. Linebacker Ed Davis, offensive lineman Dennis Finley, cornerback Vayante Copeland have been lost for the season. Cornerback Darian Hicks, left tackle Jack Conklin, center Jack Allen, right tackle Kodi Kieler, safety RJ Williamson, linebacker Drake Martinez, running [..]
