During MSU Football's regular season, the media's favorite early week activity is to scan the depth chart on a week by week basis to see if any changes have been made by the coaching staff due to injury or performance.
So, naturally as MSU's 2012 Spring Football season began on Tuesday morning with Coach Dantonio's press conference, it was natural habit just to check out the depth chart, even though it doesn't mean a whole lot (if anything) right now.
But alas, here are some notes:
**Wide receiver Bennie Fowler, STAR linebacker Chris Norman and linebacker Lawrence Thomas are all listed at the bottom of the page as players who are being "withheld from spring practice or will see limited action due to injury."
As far as Fowler goes, he had a screw placed in his foot about 11-12 weeks ago according to Dantonio. The junior wideout will most likely miss the first two weeks of practice, but should be "full go" by the end of practice.
Linebackers Chris Norman and Lawrence Thomas will both miss a majority of spring practice as well, but as Dantonio pointed out, they will both be able to "run [..]
