Michigan State gets back to conference play as they travel to Happy Valley to face the Nittany Lions in a 3 game series beginning Friday evening.

Michigan State looks to keep thier conference record perfect coming into the weekend at 3-0 and 19-5 overall. Penn State currently stands in 4th place in the BIG TEN at 4-2 and 17-12 overall. The Nittany Lions are coming in hot having won 8 in a row and have dominated at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park having an impressive 10-1 home record.

The Spartans come into the series have lost 2 of thier last 3 in between 3 cancellations do to mother nature.Michigan State will look to Cam Vieaux on the hill for Friday. Cam comes into the contest at 4-1 with a 1.60 ERA, as a team Michigan State continues to lead the BIG TEN in ERA (2.36) which ranks them 6th in the nation in that catagory.

Despite injuries to Alex Tropp and Chad Roskelly, Michigan State is still batting .311 as a team which ranks them second in the BIG TEN. Jr. College transfer, Jordan Zimmerman leads not only the club but the BIG TEN in average (.430) and is currently on a 17 game hitting streak.

For Penn State look out for Jr infielder Jim Haley who currently leads the team in average (.351) and RBI (20) On the mound, Justin Hagenman leads the staff with an impressive 4-1 record with a niffty 1.96 ERA which he will bring into Sunday's game opposed by Michigan State's Walter Borovich who also stands at 4-1 on the season.

Michigan State looks to add to thier lead in the all time series between these two programs, coming into the weekend MSU holds a 54-30 advantage including a 28-14 road record. Under Coach Boss, Michigan State has won 6 of the last 7 meetings.
