Former Spartan winger, Rob Woodward begins his 8th season as analyst for Spartan Hockey broadcasts.

He spent five seasons (2000-2005) as the head coach of Lansing Catholic Central High School where he compiled a 71-51-15 overall record.  During his final two seasons, the Cougars recorded a 25-5-2 conference mark and captured the conference title for the first time in 27 years in 2004.

Woodward also served as an assistant coach with the Chicago Young Americans from 1995-98 and again in 2000. A left winger for MSU form 1989-93, Woodward appeared in 155 games, closing his collegiate career with 48 goals and 47 assists for 95 points and 170 penalty minutes.

He earned his degree in geography from MSU in 2000. Following his Spartan career, Woodward skated for the American Hockey League Hamilton Canucks. He is a sales and marketing representative for Ecologic Industries.
