About Us-Windows Media Player
For Internet Explorer 9: If Windows Media Player is not streaming live content from Spartan Sports Network it might be fixed by one of the following solutions.
- Step One -
Open your Start Menu located on the far left of your bottom task bar and open the Control Panel. Then click and open the Programs link. From there, click on Default Programs and then click on Set program access and computer defaults. A new window should open up with three selections : Microsoft Windows, Non-Windows, Custom. For me, Custom was the choice my computer had selected. I would suggest doing the same on your computer. To the far left there should be a down arrow and you want to click on that to expand the options. Scroll down to Choose a default media player and select Windows Media Player, then click OK.
If Internet Explorer is open, close it and re-open the browser. Now you should be able to access live streaming content from Spartan Sports Network.
If you are still experiencing problems, please proceed to the next step.
- Step Two -
In the Menu bar for Internet Explorer, open up the Tools drop down menu by clicking on it or pressing ALT+t, then make sure that ActiveX Filtering does not have a check mark next to it. If it does, click on ActiveX Filtering to remove the check mark. Close Internet Explorer and re-open it. Try to access the live stream again.
If you are still experiencing problems, please proceed to the next step.
- Step Three -
Open up your Control Panel from the Start menu again. Go to Programs, then select Default Programs. From there, select Set your Default Programs. Scroll down to Windows Media Player in the left box and select it. On the right, select Choose defaults for this program and make sure there is a check mark next to .asf under the Extensions column' Click Save then OK.
If Internet Explorer is open, close it and re-open the browser. Now you should be able to access live streaming content from Spartan Sports Network.
